Last Day of Rolling Thunder

Bumper to bumper bikes & campers are leaving today. People started packing up at 5am. We leave tomorrow & looking forward  to some quiet at Sibley Lake. We had to go into town one last time to park on Main St. and do some last minute shopping & shipping. We took a nice ride past our campground to take some pictures. Tom caught me in the sunflowers.
It is very breezy today with thunderstorms in the forecast. We are preparing for our early exit tomorrow.

We had to say good by to some of the cool security guards that had their beards dyed. They only work the rally and live elsewhere. The staff all look tired too.
We also said goodbye to our tent neighbor s Joanne & Ron very nice couple from Oklahoma who we became friends with.
Addendum:

We just weathered a severe storm with 60+ MPH & dime size hail. Several campers lost their tents or became soaked. I videoed some of the storm, inside the tent, unreal. Our REI tent took another beating and held up beautifully. This picture was just before the storm hit. This one was worse than the one we had when we first arrived. Off to Wyoming in the morning. Will not blog tomorrow if internet is poor at Sibley Lake.
