Wild West Fun in Cody

After setting up camp in Cody, we jumped in the pool at the KOA campground. What a difference the change in elevations make here. Cooled off we headed to town to see what this Wild West Was all about. We started off eating the best Chicken Fried Steak we ever had at "Granny's". We then headed over to the Buffalo Bill Hotel named Irma. There we saw a hokey gunfight "starring Buffalo Bill & Wild West Show characters. We walked around downtown then headed to a rowdy rodeo show. Tom loved the real life cowgirls with their real Spurs. The bronco riders and bull riders were our favorites. It was a late night catching up on laundry. This morning they had a free pancake breakfast at the campground. There are a few groups of bikers here who are headed back from Yellowstone or on their way. We went on a trolley ride to all the historic spots and spent most of the day at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West Museum. It was an incredible opportunity to learn about this areas history and art. We had a nice dinner at the historic hotel Irma. Tomorrow Yellowstone. Pictures from the Cody Dairy Queen.
