Where the Buffalo roam and other cool stuff

Yesterday was a much needed rest day. We even took a rare nap. After watching hundreds of campers leave this morning we headed to town for more fun.
One of the events we went to had Harley Police bikes doing an obstical course.
Even though so many bikes are leaving, we still had trouble finding a parking spot. We even saw some homes downtown have 30 tents set up in their yard.
We ate lunch then headed out of town to Butte State Park near our campground. We found this cool historic marker about how Sturgis was named.
After seeing a few bikes down a grassy road & what appeared to be Buffalo, we had to investigate. We were not disappointed, but we did start making them nervous.

We think it may be nap time again! We were woken up at 3:30am by someone shooting a gun & someone yelling " put that thing away, you are not in the Wild West"! We heard he was escorted off the property. We have been very pleased with this campground & how it is run. We were told they ended up having over 16,000 campers just at this campground.
We watched them harvesting wheat across the street.
Cool wagon pic to wind up the day.
